Photographer Glen E. Friedman presents a public talk in Downtown Pittsburgh

From the birth of seminal bands such as Black Flag, Minor Threat and Public Enemy, to the gravity-defying feats of skateboarding trailblazers like Tony Alva, Duane Peters and Stacy Peralta—photographer Glen E. Friedman was there to capture, chronicle and create art as part of subcultures that defined the 1980s and beyond.

Fans of contemporary photography and the history of 20th-century counterculture should not miss the chance to
welcome Friedman to town for this special event on Friday night at the Harris Theater.
